Duality Maps
In Term 3 some Year 2 students worked with Mrs Howard to create Duality Maps. The students picked a subject and found out about it in their first language. They needed to talk to their parents and translate their knowledge from english into their first language. They then created posters to display their learning. The Duality Maps celebrate their dual language and dual culture. All students were very proud of their work and it will be displayed in the Library for other students to view. The Duality Maps will also be displayed and explained to other Teachers. All the students had fun finding out about their topic. This work was part of the English Language Assistant Professional Development course facilitated by Jannie Van Hees 2012. Teddy Bear's Picnic
